About this care

What this treatment involves.

Adult dentistry looks different at 28 than it does at 48 or 68. In your twenties and thirties, care tends to focus on prevention, wisdom teeth, orthodontic relapse, and early cosmetic refinements. In midlife, worn enamel, older fillings, cracked teeth, and the effects of grinding often become the priority. Later on, dry mouth from medications, root-surface decay, and replacing missing teeth move to the front of the plan. We meet you wherever you are.

Every adult visit at our Plantation office begins with a comprehensive exam, digital X-rays when indicated, and a careful review of your medical history and any medications that may affect your oral health. From there, Dr. Allen builds a plan that respects your time, your budget, and your priorities — and we always explain what is urgent, what is elective, and what can safely be watched.

As an adult dentist in Plantation, FL, our goal is a long-term relationship, not a transaction. That means unhurried appointments, honest recommendations, and preventive care designed to help you keep your own teeth healthy and comfortable for decades.

FAQ

Common questions.

Have a question we haven't answered? Call us at (954) 739-6464.

How often should adults see the dentist?+

Most adults do well with a professional cleaning and exam every six months. Patients with gum disease, dry mouth, or a history of decay may benefit from three- or four-month intervals.

I haven't been to the dentist in years — what should I expect?+

No judgment, ever. We'll start with a comprehensive exam and X-rays, then walk you through a phased plan that fits your priorities and budget.

Do you handle both preventive and restorative care in one office?+

Yes. From cleanings and fillings to crowns, root canals, implants, and cosmetic dentistry, most adult care is completed in-house by Dr. Allen.

Can dental care be adjusted around my medications?+

Absolutely. We coordinate with your physicians when needed and modify treatment around blood thinners, bisphosphonates, and other medications that affect dental care.

Do you accept dental insurance?+

We are in-network with many PPO and HMO plans and file claims for you. We also offer an in-house membership at $199 per year for patients without insurance.
